Lightweight and incredibly strong, the Jannu is a freestanding four season shelter designed for alpine climbers and mountaineers going into the worst of conditions. The dome construction has a compact footprint ideal for sites with limited space, such as small ledges and rocky ridges. Exceptionally stable in wind due to a low profile, the Jannu’s three poles cross at multiple points providing impressive snow-load handling. With only Minimal staking in the vestibule required, the Jannu has a short sleeve and clip pole system and a linked inner and outer tent that is remarkably easy to set up even for a solo user in foul weather. The Jannu is comprised of Kerlon 1200 outer tent fabric and 9mm poles balancing strength and saving weight to keep packed weight to a light 7lbs 1oz.
•Outer tent walls that extend to the ground and no-see-um mesh on inner tent door backed by adjustable fabric panels make this a livable four season shelter.
•Single door and vestibule keep weight low but with ample storage and asymmetrical door allows entrance to be kept away from the weather.
•Ability to link the inner and outer tent allows for fast single person pitching and keeps the tent interior dry during setup. •Bathtub floor keeps out ground water and will keep you and your gear dry.
•Adjustable roof vent with no-see-um mesh and fabric panels provide excellent venting and can be accessed from inside the tent. A separate vent cover protects open vent from rain and snow.
•Guy lines directly attach to poles with loops designed to wrap around pole, pole intersections, and on the vent cover provide stability in bad weather.
•Inner and outer tents can be used independently. Pitching Inner tent alone requires 6 optional pole holders (sold separately).
•Optional footprint attaches directly to tent, covers the entire area of the outer tent and vestibule, and can be left connected during pitching.
•Four integrated interior stowage pockets for organization.
