Climbing shoes may be returned or exchanged.

Warranty

We are glad to handle manufacturer's warranty issues for you on items that were purchased from Bent Gate Mountaineering. You are responsible for the cost of shipping items back to Bent Gate Mountaineering for warranty evaluation/service. Please ship items back to us in clean condition as some manufacturers may assess a cleaning charge on soiled items. We suggest you insure the package, and ship UPS or Fed EX. Please include any pertinent information as to what the problem with the item is. The more detailed the information you provide, the better we can serve you.

If an item was purchased through Bent Gate Mountaineering within the last year, we will pay shipping charges to and from the manufacturer for customers within the United States. International customers will be responsible for all shipping costs to and from our store. All customers will be responsible for all shipping charges on any items purchased more than a year ago.  Bent Gate Mountaineering adheres to manufacturer's guidelines, and final decisions will be made only by Bent Gate Mountaineering.

If you have an item that needs to be returned, a Return Authorization IS NOT NECESSARY - Please just insure that the item is within the appropriate return period, AND that it is eligible for return (see Guarantee and/or Warranty for details) then follow these guidelines.   If available, use the Packing Sheet (usually a bright yellow sheet) that accompanied your order.  If this is not available, please include a note with all important return info, including the following:

  • Your First and Last Name
  • The order number (if known)
  • What you would like done (refund, exchange, warranty, etc.)

International
Orders

We gladly accept orders from international customers but we require additional information to protect the credit card holder (Due to the fact that our address verification system does not work outside of the U.S.A.) This requirement applies to all orders with a credit card billing address outside of the United States, even if the order is shipping to an address within the US.

If paying by credit card we require the following additional information:

• A legible scan of government issued identification, such as a passport or driver's license.(This must match your credit card) We recommend that you cover up any identifying numbers such as passport or driver's license numbers when you make your scan.

• A legible scan of both sides of the credit card being used for purchase. We recommend that the middle 8 digits be covered, but the first 4 and last 4 must match "payment info"

• Note that we cannot process your order without this information. If the scan you send us is not legible your order will be delayed.

This information may be emailed to
bentgate@bentgate.com in a .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, or .tiff format.

PayPal payments are gladly accepted without any of the additional information required for credit card transactions. To use PayPal just choose PayPal for your method of payment and enter "999" in the Credit Card ID number field. Include the e-mail address associated with your PayPal account in the order comments if it is different than the one on the order. We will calculate the shipping and send you a PayPal request for the total amount.

The following guidelines apply to all international orders:

• All shipping to international addresses is done via UPS Worldwide Express (1-2 days) or UPS Worldwide Expedited (3-5 days) and is billed at our actual shipping cost. The Worldwide Expedited is generally significantly less expensive. Please specify which shipping option you want to use in the comments section of your order. The cost of shipping will be added to your order at the time it is processed.

• All duties or customs fees are the responsibility of the customer. We are unable to provide you with information on what these charges might be.

• International orders generally take 5 to 7 days to process.

In-Store
Pick Up
All items are available for in-store pickup.  If you would like to pick up an order in-store, please place your order online and choose "In Store Pick Up" from the shipping options menu.  Please be aware that all orders picked up at our store are subject to Golden's sales tax of 7.2%.

When you receive confirmation that your order has "shipped", it is available for pick up in our hold room.  You may pick it up any time after this during regular store hours.  If you need an "express" pick up, please call ahead and make arrangements with our staff.
