Petzl's Microcender is a smaller version with the exact same features as the Rescucender. The user connects directly to the grooved cam, which can slip if overloaded and thus act as a load limiter. The device will slide up the rope unaided, while a simple action will allow it to be moved down the rope. It is attached to the rope by two consecutive actions.
