PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Edelweiss' Dynamic 8.3mm x 60M double ropes are a great value. The double rope system is popular for tradiatioal routes where a meandering weakness may force the leaders rope to run anything but straight. Climbing with two ropes creates an extra margin of safety if a rope gets damaged from rock fall, crampons or tools. Double ropes are usually light and thin to glide smoothly and with the least ammount of friction across terrain. This technique can allow the leader to clip one or both of the ropes to ease drag throughout the pitch. They also allow for a retreat or full-length rappel at the end of the climb if necesary. The Dynamic 8.3 mm has an "Everdry" coating to resist 50% of water absorbtion.
