  
Edelweiss' Ultralight 40 9.9mm x 60M ARC is a lightweight alpine and sport climbing rope with great durability. This rope is the perfect choice for climbing long and hard alpine free routes like the Diamond, on Long's Peak. The Ultralight 40 is treated with the "Super Everdry" formula which resists 75% of water absorbtion and is also coated with "Perdur" the abrasion resistance treatment that gives 33% more durability to the sheath of the rope. Edelweiss' ARC 50/50(A.K.A. bi-color, half&half, Duodess)concept changes the sheath pattern at the halfway point on the rope making it easier for the climber and belayer to identify distances when rappeling or toproping.
