A sleeping that is big in warmth and size
Feeling claustrophobic in your sleeping bag? The WM Badger MF is the solution. A full 66” of shoulder girth and 41” of foot girth allow bigger or more claustrophobic folks to enjoy the benefits of a mummy bag. To prevent heat escape from the extra girth, Western Mountaineering added a full down collar to the Badger. This collar is comfortable around the neck and provides a formidable barrier that prevents convective heat loss. At the zipper, a stout draft tube seals in heat and prevents the zipper from snagging; though, what really makes the Badger MF comfortable down to 15 degrees is 23 oz of premium 850+ fill down insulation. Despite the vast amount of space inside the Western Mountaineering Badger and full 6 inches of loft, it weighs just 2 lbs 8 oz.
Surrounding the Western Mountaineering Badger MF is a Microlite XP microfiber. This fabric reduces the total weight of each bag in this series by 15 to 20 percent. Despite the drop in weight, Microlight XP microfiber still contains over 400 threads per square inch to offer impressive weather resistance and breathability. Its hard to imagine a more impressive combination of performance characteristics in a shell fabric.
