Megalite, Mega Roomy
Western Mountaineering designed the Megalite so that larger folks can enjoy the benefits of the ExtremeLite series of sleeping bags. But you don’t have to built like a bear to enjoy the Megalite, it is a solid choice for anyone who hates being restricted in tight mummy bags.
A 64” shoulder girth and 39” footbox circumference allow for plenty of room to get comfortable inside the Megalite. Despite the generous fit, the Megalite is comfortable down to 30 degrees thanks to 12 ounces of premium 850+ fill that loft the sleeping bag to 4”. A full down collar helps seal in warmth around the neck and continuous horizontal baffles allow users to push down insulation to the underside where it offers less insulation and cooler sleeping during warm nights.
Even with the comfortable shape the Western Mountaineering Megalite weighs in at just 1 and a half pounds. Much of the weight saving can be attributed to the ultralite 12 denier ripstop nylon shell fabric that is shockingly durable for the weight.
