Perfect pack for the longer days

I used this pack last week going to the East Finger Couloir on Ptarmigan Mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park and it was perfect! The 5 mile hike in and out wasn't bad at all, the great padding on the shoulder straps and hip pads took away all the hurt of hiking with a 40+lb pack with skis and boots on the sides. Ample room inside held all the necessities (shovel probe, snow pants, jacket, helmet, food, water, med kit) with extra room to spare. Extra pockets on the front and top gave fantastic accessibility to quickly needed items, along with the back pad that unzips to allow access to the entire main pocket without digging through the top. The material of the pack help up without any scrapes from factory tuned edges on the standard side carry or rock walls I scraped against. That carry configuration never gave me trouble with boulder hopping at the bottom of the route where as many packs cause the tails of skis to hit on every boulder that you try to sneak past or get over. Skiing with the pack, it snugged up very well on my back without putting me off balance hop-turning down 45 degree slopes. There's no other pack that I would recommend for longer ski or mountaineer missions to hold all your gear and sit comfortably in situations where control is paramount.
