Description

The all-mountain classic is reborn with a fresh C2 Chassis. We have worked hard in the lab and on mountain to fine-tune optimum geometric ratios for sidecut and flex pattern, and the newly minted 106 reflects the most current blend of smoothness, balance, and power; in an all-mountain, everyday shape designed for mixed snow conditions.

Just over 100mm underfoot is becoming the sweet spot for Colorado’s Front Range ski conditions, and DPS pairs that perfect width with versatile construction for a ski to take on anything. Alchemist construction is special because it combines lightweight pre-preg carbon with dampening materials to create a carbon ski that feels like wood. However, less dependence on resin that can break down means that the ski will maintain its flex for season after season of use. DPS’s world cup bases complement this feature with exceptional durability.

A round flex will keep you in the sweet spot of the ski even if your mount preference varies from the factory recommendation and makes the Wailer 106 Alchemist a good option for telemark setups. While most of the DPS wailer shapes tend to favor powder skiing, the Wailer 106 is a more traditional ski for a variety of conditions. A less dramatic tip rocker provides plenty of float in powder but maintains stability on groomers and hardpack and the earlyrise tail helps the ski pivot without washing out.
