Product description
The first dynamic single rope with a sheath that includes aramid, for markedly increased cut resistance. Thanks to a special processing method, the Swift Protect Eco Dry remains dynamic. Despite reinforcement with aramid and the overall higher sheath content, the impact force remains within the required standard. These characteristics make the Swift Protect Eco Dry the ideal lead climbing rope and the perfect companion for alpine climbing and mountaineering.
Features
- Higher sheath content and aramid processing for increased cut resistance under load, e.g. over sharp edges
- Certified as a single, half, and twin rope
- Durably water repellent and dirt resistant thanks to the PFC- and PFAS-free Eco Dry finish
- Significantly lower water absorption in the UIAA water-repellency test compared to ropes without ECO treatment
- Thermo Shield treatment for pleasant handling
- 3D lap coiling enables instant use without tangles

EDELRID technologies
Thermo Shield
THERMO SHIELD is the basic treatment that we apply to all our ropes to ensure they have the renowned EDELRID suppleness. The treatment involves a thermal process that perfectly aligns the core and sheath yarns. A special heat treatment relaxes then shrinks the rope’s fibers. ...
3D Lap Coil
3D LAP COIL: The 3D lap coiling technique makes uncoiling the rope for the first time unnecessary. We extended our production site with a specially developed lap coiling machine that winds up our ropes. In combination with the thoughtout design of the packaging provided with every EDELRID rope, it has now ...
Eco Dry
ECO DRY: Polyfluorinated and perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) make outdoor equipment resistant to oil, grease, and water. Once released into the environment, however, the chemicals only degrade very slowly, posing a long-term environmental problem.
