    EXPERIENCED BOOTFITTER - Full Time/Part Time

    $18- $21 hr (DOE)

    Bentgate Mountaineering is looking for an experienced ski boot fitter. We are a backcountry ski shop that strives to sell and expertly fit the highest quality AT, Telemark, Alpine and Splitboard equipment. If you have experience fitting ski boots and love outfitting customers with the best gear in the industry, please send your resume to [email protected].

    Job responsibilities:

    • Assist customers with ski boot selection, custom fitting, stance, and custom footbeds. 
    • Ability to help customers with advanced boot modification issues (punching, shimming, liners). 
    • Ability to recommend backcountry gear relevant to the customers needs. 
    • Demonstrate high level of product knowledge for backcountry Boots/Bindings/Skis

    Qualifications:

    Prior experience and training in fitting ski boots is required. Ability to provide top notch customer service. Maintain a working knowledge of our ski boot/binding compatibility. Great customer service and attention to detail. 

     

    SKI SHOP TECH POSITION - Part/Full Time

    $18 and up (DOE)

    Bentgate Mountaineering is looking for an experienced Ski Shop Tech. We are a backcountry ski shop that strives to sell and expertly fit the highest quality AT, Telemark, Alpine and Splitboard equipment. 

    Job responsibilities: 

    • Mounting, adjusting, and ASTM testing alpine, touring, telemark ski bindings.  
    • High end customer service (ie cleaning up other people mistakes)
    • Initiating warranties (deciphering what is and is not a warranty) 
    • Providing professional ski tunes using ski tuning equipment.
    • Assisting in rental/demo fleet maintenance 
    • Ability to recommend backcountry gear relevant to the customers needs. 
    • Demonstrate high level of product knowledge for backcountry Boots/Bindings/Skis

    Qualifications: 

    Prior ski shop experience is recommended. Experience tuning and mounting skis and/or snowboards required. Ability to provide top notch customer service. Maintain a working knowledge of our ski boot/binding compatibility. Attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills are a must in this position (Usually working in a team of 2-4 most days during the winter).

     

    Operations Associate Position - Full Time

    Starting at $18 and up (DOE)

    Given the nature of the retail seasons, the workload and type of work varies dramatically throughout the year. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: receiving and processing incoming orders; a critical function of store operations as all product we sell crosses the receiving desk and must be inventoried correctly, eCom fulfillment outgoing order processing; processes web orders for domestic shipping, and data management; website product creation and data extract, transact, load operations. Ability to manage time and tasks is a must for any and all of these responsibilities.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Receiving and Organizing boxes
    • Sorting packages and gauging priority with Ops Team and Sales Floor
    • Processing POs through Lightspeed
    • Scanning and updating UPC information
    • Unpacking stock and relaying it to the sales floor
    • Labeling, pricing, security tagging, donut sizing and hanging items, which are then moved to the floor for display
    • Dealing with mis-ships and other discrepancies by contacting vendors
    • Backstocking in warehouse
    • Coordinating with the sales floor and accounting
    • Keeping receiving and backstock areas clean, swept, vacuumed and organized with appropriate labeling for backstock
    • Properly dispose of shipping materials including separation of recyclables and reusables 
    • eCommerce fulfillment and shipping 

     

    Qualifications:

    • Intense attention to detail
    • Thorough outdoor product knowledge
    • Comfortable using POS and inventory management software
    • Highly efficient management of own workflow
    • Self starter, keeping work organized while multitasking 
    • Lifting over 60 lbs
    • Experience with data management and familiarity with data integrity and inventory management processes can lead to more opportunities and higher pay scale prospects
