Instructors from American Avalanche Institute and Colorado Mountain School will offer a series of informative lessons on avalanche hazards in Colorado. In this presentation, participants will learn why the snowpack in Colorado offer both legendarily good skiing and infamously dangerous avalanche hazards. We’ll also explore the good news: there is a way to manage the risk. We can have our skiing and shift the odds from being lucky to being well-informed, prudent, and collaborative in our decision making.
Participants will hear a series of engaging case studies, learn about ways to travel safely, ask questions, and hear personalized recommendations from our instructors. This session will be two hours
