The BC Link 2.0 is the second generation of Backcountry Access's two-way radio designed specifically for backcountry touring, and it comes with twice the wattage for a better performance at the recommended distance of 6 miles and the maximum distance of 40 miles (both with line of sight). The remote-friendly Smart Mic has glove-friendly controls for on-and-off, volume, battery indicator, channel selection, and push-to-talk so you don't have to find the base unit packed inside your backpack to change settings.
