Product description

Based on the proven construction of the EAGLE LITE, we have developed a rope that is particularly robust and is still suitable for sport climbing and projecting routes. To this end, we use Protect technology, which incorporates high-strength aramid fibers into the sheath using a specially developed braiding process. This technology and the adjustment of other production parameters strengthen the sheath and increase the rope's cut resistance. For a particularly compact and fine sheath structure, the EAGLE LITE PROTECT ECO DRY is processed on a braiding machine with 48 bobbins, which has a positive impact on handling and abrasion resistance. These features make the EAGLE LITE PROTECT ECO DRY a reliable companion on demanding multi-pitch routes and big-wall adventures when climbing with single rope and additional tag line, where necessary.

Thermo Shield
THERMO SHIELD is the basic treatment that we apply to all our ropes to ensure they have the renowned EDELRID suppleness. The treatment involves a thermal process that perfectly aligns the core and sheath yarns. A special heat treatment relaxes then shrinks the rope’s fibers.
