Bentgate.com is proud to be a partner with Edelrid.

Climbing is in Edelrid's genes, whether at the crag, in the gym, in snow and ice, in trees, or at industrial structures. For 160 years, they have believed that it is important to push boundaries, remain inquisitive and share the joy of our vertical world.

That's why Edelrid is constantly developing their products and solutions, from climbing equipment in mountain sports and indoor climbing to personal protective equipment (PPE) for professional applications.

As a manufacturer rooted in the Allgäu region, Edelrid produces their complete portfolio of mountain sports ropes, static ropes, accessory cords, and lines for paragliders and many other industrial applications in their rope factory.

    Edelrid's Vision

They make ideas come to life that enable free movement in a vertical world

They want every user of an EDELRID product to have the pleasure and freedom of moving vertically. This is where their history, their expertise, and their passion for the future lie. This is what they are passionate about: whether at the crag, in a climbing gym, working at height, or in tree care—they share their knowledge, experience, and ideas with everyone who wants to experience the joy of free movement at height.

    Edelrid's mission

Their mission is to understand every detail about the development, the use and the impact of their products and make it publicly available.

They use and share their knowledge to make the best product, reduce its environmental impact and help climbers* to consciously assess their risks.

    Edelrid's values

Edelrid has a long history, a character of their own, many ideas, and great goals—they have something that defines them as EDELRID and sets them apart from others. Of course, this is a feeling of belonging, mindset, and shared values. Edelrid took a good look, twisted and turned things around, to finally put into words what they live every day—in their interactions with each other, with their customers, and with their business partners—Edelrid's values:

They are a colorful bunch—a group of individuals with different characters, origins, and experiences.
They are a rope team— They trust one another and are one big, happy family both within and outside the workplace.
They are inventors—They have an inquisitive nature and strong motivation to develop, use, and share our knowledge.
They are sincere—They are true to our word and work openly and honestly.
They are thinkers and doers—They understand our trade and live for it.
They have the drive—They achieve improvements by being passionate about their products, technology, and practical experiences.
They bear responsibility—They use knowledge to make what they do sustainable.

    Edelrid's journey

The organisational anchoring of environmental management at EDELRID is ensured by the position of the Environmental Management Officer as well as by various working groups on specific environmentally relevant topics, e.g. materials, production processes, sourcing, implementation of ecological measures in the administration or occupational health and safety. These report directly to the Executive Board on a regular basis.

In order to be measurable and transparent in the area of the environment and environmental impacts, and to give themselves the incentive to constantly improve, they have been publishing their environmental statements since 2010. With the environmental statement, they disclose, on the one hand, what is important for assessing our environmental performance and, on the other hand, with which means and measures they would like to achieve our environmental goals and have already achieved them.
